A small team out of Harvard and Tufts, and Northeastern, working to put a grow lab in Boston classrooms
and make growing food a normal part of school.

Oliver founded BYFP and Boston Microgreens in South Boston before it. He shrank commercial grow racks down to classroom size so every student can grow real food, right at their desk.

Patch designs the hands-on, standards-aligned curriculum — the 43 activities that turn a grow rack into four weeks of real science, nutrition, and social emotional learning.

Adelaide shapes the nutrition and taste side of the program and is the program coordinator for our high-touch program in Boston.

Maura brings a public-health lens and keeps the nonprofit’s finances and operations on solid ground, so more classrooms can grow each year.
We also work alongside Boston Microgreens and a growing group
of trained classroom volunteers across the city.
Whether you teach, sponsor, or want to volunteer in a classroom, there’s a place for you.
